Girls Varsity Soccer · Edgewater Girls Varsity Soccer Player of the Week!

Lauren Higgins has been selected by her coaches as Edgewater Girls Varsity Soccer Player of the Week!

Lauren has been exceptional between the sticks for your Lady Eagles.  Her positioning and footwork continues to impress helping the Varsity team to a 7-4 record.

The middle of three competitive, athletic sisters, Lauren is used to defending what’s hers. The soccer net is no exception. Beginning with ACYS, at the age of four, Lauren has gone on to play for First Touch Sports, Spirit United, GPS and most recently, FKK.

Always a keeper, and intent on stopping every shot, she has also trained as a field player to increase her understanding of the game as a whole, playing both the field and keeper positions in competitive team games.

Off the field, Lauren enjoys spending time with friends, restoring old cars, welding and fabricating metal with her dad, and spoiling her Black Lab, Junior. She excels at academics and enjoys competing in 4H. As part of the STEM engineering program at Edgewater, Lauren plans on majoring in engineering at university, with a focus on robotics and welding.

Lauren is excited for what this soccer season holds, and she looks forward to helping the team achieve success over the next three years.
